How to use high temperature resistant annular spiral wound gasket?

High temperature resistant annular spiral wound gaskets are designed to provide a reliable seal for flanges that are exposed to high temperatures and pressures. Here are the steps to use them:
Verify that the gasket material is suitable for the application's temperature and pressure requirements.
Clean the flange faces and ensure that they are free of debris, rust, and other contaminants. The flange faces should be flat and smooth.
Place the gasket on the flange face, ensuring that the outer ring is centered on the flange.
Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound or high-temperature grease to the bolt threads and nuts.
Install the bolts and nuts and tighten them gradually and evenly, using a crisscross pattern. Follow the recommended torque values for the specific gasket and flange combination.
After tightening the bolts to the recommended torque value, check for leaks using a leak detector spray or another method.
If there are no leaks, the installation is complete. If leaks are detected, the bolts may need to be tightened further, or the gasket may need to be replaced.
